Amanda (Kenna James) is hanging out with an old buddy, Lance (Pierce Paris), who is now rolling in dough. They’ve kinda drifted apart over the years, but they always meet up for cake on their shared birthday. Today they’re turning 30, and Lance brings up a promise Amanda supposedly made. She doesn’t remember, so he reminds her that 10 years ago he spilled his feelings for her… She turned him down, but mentioned that if they were both single at 30, they’d tie the knot. Amanda is shocked, but the memory comes back. She confesses she only made the promise to let him down easy. Lance gets mad and accidentally spills that he made sure she’d be single at 30. Amanda demands answers, and Lance tries to play it off, but she sees through it. He finally admits he sabotaged all her relationships. He thinks he’s better than all her exes and can give her a life of luxury. But Amanda is grossed out by his extreme measures. Lance suggests they hook up – if it’s the best sex of her life, they’ll get hitched. If not, he’ll drop the whole marriage thing. Amanda is still disgusted by his actions, but she figures this might be her only shot at getting him to back off for good.
